A Rodeo Queen is a local ambassador of the sport—she represents her community with poise, horsemanship, and pride throughout the rodeo season. Young women compete for these titles in pageant-style events judged on riding skill, personality, and presentation. But it’s a path with limits, most age out by their mid-twenties, with few opportunities beyond the crown.

Sisters Karissa and Rayna Rogers have been part of the California rodeo scene since they were kids. Now in their late teens and early twenties, they’re stepping into their biggest chapters yet. Karissa is preparing to compete for Miss Rodeo California, a prestigious title that requires relentless dedication. Rayna, once equally devoted to queening, is starting to ask different questions—about the future of their hometown rodeo and how to keep it alive for the next generation.

As both sisters push forward in their own ways, their family is faced with a new challenge—supporting their mom, Shasta, through a recent breast cancer diagnosis. Balancing ambition with caregiving, and tradition with transformation, Karissa and Rayna begin to discover who they are both inside and outside of the arena.
